Nic Chebeleu and Rhett Burghart are mechanical engineers by day, and at night and on weekends are working towards designing and machining mechancial keyboards.  Both engineers are passionate about mechanical keyboards and aspire to bring their vision to reality.

We met in undergrad at Walla Walla University in 2014, and grew our friendship through the years of studying mechanical engineering. We lived together in our college town on 2nd Street, hence our company name of 2nd Street Engineering.

In 2023, we collectively decided that starting a business sounded cool, and that we'd love to design and make luxury mechanical keyboards, so we formed 2nd Street Engineering LLC
